How To Set The HPO Homepage As Your Own Personal Homepage




Mozilla Firefox Users


There are several ways to set your homepage using Firefox.

Dragging It To The Home Icon:

1. Navigate to the page you want set as your home page.
2. Click on the icon to the left of the web address and drag it to the Home toolbar button.
3. Click Yes to confirm.

Using The Options Window:

1. Navigate to the page you want set as your home page.
2. At the top of the Firefox windowOn the menu bar, click on the Tools menu, and select Options...
3. Click on Use Current Pages.

* When Firefox starts: Controls what Firefox displays when you open it.
o Show my home page - Displays the home page.
o Show a blank page - Displays a blank page, which is fastest to load.
o Show my windows and tabs from last time - Restores the pages you were visiting the last time you closed Firefox.

Google Chrome Users


There is only one way to set your homepage using Google Chrome.

Using The Tools Menu:

1. Click the Tools menu.
2. Select Options.
3. Click the Basics tab.
4. In the "Home page" section, set your home page:
* You can use the New Tab page, which is pre-populated with the web resources you use the most, such as your most visited sites and recent bookmarks. To use this page, select "Use the New Tab page."
* To use a different webpage, select "Open this page," then enter the web address of the page you want to use.
5. To see your home page every time you open Google Chrome, select "Open the home page" in the "On startup" section.
6. Click Close.

Internet Explorer Users


There are several ways to set your homepage using Internet Explorer.

Using The Tools Menu:

Internet Explorer 5, 6 and 7

1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. Click the General tab.
4. In the Address box, type the Web page address that you want for your home page.

NOTE: If you want the page that you are currently viewing in Internet Explorer to be your home page, click Use Current.
5. Click OK.

1. Start Internet Explorer
2. On the View menu, click Internet Options.
3. In the Address box, type the Web page address that you want for your home page.
